Green Bicycle Routes, Kristiansand: Kristiansand museum - Botanical garden - University

This route connects two large green areas and museums fairly centrally in Kristiansand. It’s a great route for tourists and families with children alike, although in one place it crosses a slightly busy road. From the main entrance at UiA, you cycle down the wide walkway behind the J-building, past the Nature Museum and Botanical Gardens and out the main gate at Gimle Gård.

NB! It is not permitted to cycle on the paths between the beds in the botanical gardens, so we recommend parking your bike here and spending some time enjoying the beautiful park on foot.

After crossing Gimleveien, cycle down to Lovisenlund School and follow the cycle path up Oddernesveien and down towards Steinerskolen. From there you cross Østre Ringvei and cycle along the gravel path towards Bispegra. Instead of cycling past the rehabilitation centre and the various institutions, cycle up along the stream and turn right just before you reach Donn’s football pitch. From there, cycle on the gravel road towards Kristiansand Museum and follow the gravel road until you reach Bygata.
