Description.
This route runs along the old post road from Kristiansand to Mandal. It is part of the old children’s hiking trail in Southern Norway, which is signposted along the route. The route starts in Suldalen, just north of Grim torg. From there it follows Gamle Mandalsvei through beautiful natural areas, past the climbing park Høyt og Lavt and Grotjønn, before following Kvislevannsbekken. From 2.5-3.5 km out, there is a steady climb upwards, and for that kilometre there is a fairly steep downhill section. The trail crosses Kvislevannet and continues through the forest before ending at Farvannet. From here it’s a very short walk to the bus stop by the E39, with fairly frequent buses back to the city centre.

You can cycle in the direction of Brennåsen and either northwards towards Nodeland or westwards towards Søgne.
