SykkelNorge, which was launched in 2023, was developed by Syklistenes Landsforening and is Norway’s first map solution/tour planner with quality-assured cycle routes throughout the country.

Here you get easy access to fantastic trip suggestions and useful information that will make the trip a success for you and your travelling companions. Whether you’re going on a day trip, a weekend trip, a longer holiday trip or a green cycling route to work, SykkelNorge helps you find the best options. Most of the tours are quality-assured according to the Norwegian Cyclists’ Federation’s own certification schemes: Star-labelled tours and Green Cycle Routes. It also contains recommended tours from local experts, as well as the National Cycle Routes.
While families with children are often most concerned about the safety of the routes and prefer to cycle on cycle paths or forest roads without car traffic, experienced cyclists can tolerate cycling longer distances on roads with car traffic if it provides great nature experiences.

The Cyclists’ Association has been mapping cycle routes for a number of years. We would like to thank the Norwegian Environment Agency, the Ministry of Culture and Equality and Viken County Council for their support as important contributors to the development and mapping work.

At the time of launch, SykkelNorge.no contained 11,357 km of cycle routes across most of the country. Work on adding more great tours will be ongoing. To cover the whole of Norway as well as possible, we need volunteers and good ambassadors to take part in the mapping work. If you have a favourite ride that you would like to share with us, or would like to contribute in any other way, we would greatly appreciate it if you would contact ola@syklistforeningen.no.
