Why develop SykkelNorge.no?
Information about cycling trips in Norway has been difficult to access. Preliminary work with obtaining information about nice trips, accommodations, public transport, tunnels and ferries has been time-consuming. The Cyclist Association has received questions from members and others planning long or shorter cycling trips over the years. In SykkelNorge you will find the information you need to plan great trips, so that you have more time to enjoy the freedom and fantastic nature on two wheels.
Short day trips and cycling holidays
SykkelNorge, launched in 2023, is developed by the Norwegian Cyclists' Association, and is Norway's first map solution/trip planner with quality-assured cycling routes across the country.
Whether you're going on a day trip, weekend trip, longer holiday trip or just getting a taste of nature for work, SykkelNorge helps you find the best options. Many quality-assured with the Cyclists' Association's certifications; "Starred Tours" and "Green Cycle Routes".
Mapped and certified tours
While families with children are often most concerned about the safety of the routes, and to the greatest extent possible, cycle on cycle paths or forest roads without car traffic, experienced cyclists can tolerate cycling longer distances on roads with car traffic if it provides great nature experiences.
Sykkelnorge has mapped cycle routes for a number of years. We thank the Norwegian Environment Agency, the Ministry of Culture and Equality and Viken County Municipality for their support as important contributors to the development and mapping work.
