Description.

View tour number one in Bergen. It’s worth stopping at several places to look westwards and beyond the city and harbour. Suitable for tourists, families and commuters travelling between the north and south sides of Bergen who want to get away from the traffic. The route alternates between wide, car-free hiking trails and modestly trafficked roads for the last two kilometres. The northernmost section, north of the Fløybanen railway, is almost completely car-free and safe.

For those who want to continue cycling…

If you cycle the route in the opposite direction, it is natural to continue up to Munkebotn and Langevatnet and over to Eidsvåg. However, this route is so steep that it is best suited to people who are used to cycling or who have an electric bike.
