Green Cycle Routes, Grenland: Lundedalen through Skien

Description

From Bakkestranda we have to cross Oscars gate and Blekebakkveien before we reach Lundedalen itself. Here the trail climbs gently past Lunde primary school and sports ground. Then we pass under Hesselbergs gate and the valley widens out again, to an area with a playground, exercise equipment, benches and a large statue of the polar explorer Hjalmar Johansen, who was with both Nansen and Amundsen. Then we have to cross Cort Adelers gate at Marensro, watch out here. Continue past Lundedalen kindergarten, and after a tunnel we pass Nordre Gravlund, and end up at the blocks in Gamlegrensa, with views of the mountains north of the city.
