Oslo, Norway

Oslo is probably the capital city in the world that has the shortest distance to fantastic nature experiences in Marka, which surrounds Oslo. But there are also some stretches of cycle paths that provide green outdoor experiences that are well suited to shorter trips, or as part of the cycle commute to and from work.

The Green Cycle Routes are inspected and certified by the Cyclists’ Association. For the most part, they run from the city centre to where people live. They are perfect for those who like to cycle as much as possible in green pockets and get away from traffic and noise. It’s not usually the shortest route, but as a bonus you get a little taste of nature in the open air. It recharges your batteries for a stressful day at work or before coming home to family and friends.
