Description.
This route runs through Norway’s most famous park and most visited attraction, including 214 sculptures. The park took several decades to complete, and in 2009 it became the country’s first park to be listed by the National Heritage Board. The walk down to Skøyen is car-free, very easy and runs partly in the park and partly along the idyllic Frogner Creek in the narrow and slightly secluded Frogner Valley. The park and path are used by many people throughout the year, so here you cycle on pedestrians’ terms.
For those who want to cycle further…
At Drammensveien, you can cycle a couple of hundred metres in the cycle lane before crossing into the pedestrian crossing and, via Verkstedveien and Karenslyst allé, crossing the footbridge at E18. Here you enter the green cycle route Bygdøyrunden.
