This is the shortest day trip between Brønnøysund and Nesna. 23 km cycling and 10 km ferry.
The tour starts in Solfjellsjøen and heads north along Dønnaveien before turning south on Vågsveien back to the ferry berth at Bjørn. Ferry to Løkta and around the island along Hornsveien via Sundsveien to the pier. Here, NRK took a charter boat to Sandnessjøen for accommodation. If you decide to stay overnight, you can take the ferry via Bjørn to Sandnessjøen.
With a tent on your bike, there are coves and beaches at Løkta, where you can set up camp, but an alternative route for the day is to skip Løkta and cycle around Dønna instead. Then you can take the ferry straight from the ferry terminal in Bjørn directly to Sandnessjøen.
